Hi! I’m Kelly.
It’s nice to meet you! I’m a Colorado native, Returned Peace Corps Volunteer, novelist, and travel writer with a deep love of exploration! I’ve been traveling my whole life, starting with family roadtrips and continuing on to epic adventures with the Peace Corps. I started my career with a passion to read, write, and travel which took me on adventures I never expected to experience in life. Now, I am a career writer with a background in marketing who loves to read books and see new places.

My story so far
Travel has been a part of my life since I was a child. It has me through both good and bad times, showed me how to see the world with different eyes, and changed how I interact with the world. Now, I travel the world (just for fun) and share my stories with you!
Young Road Tripper
I grew up with travel, going on cross-country roadtrips to Wisconsin, North Dakota, and San Diego regularly. My mom and dad would load us up into the 1987 Chevy Astro Van and take us on trips nearly every summer and winter. That’s where my love and comfort for travel began.
Study Abroad Student
In 2012, I took my first trip outside the U.S. to France and Spain for a study abroad trip with EF Tours. I was reading novels for an English class, seeing some of the Spain’s greatest architecture, sipping delicious coffee, and eating delightful food. It was life-challenging. From that day on, all I wanted to do was find a way to travel and write. Which led me to one of the greatest adventures I would ever experience in life.
Peace Corps China (2014 - 2016)
In 2014, the year after I graduated from university, I joined the Peace Corps. It was the scariest and most exhilarating adventure of my life. I taught oral English to high school students in Dadukou, Chongqing, learned Mandarin Chinese, ate exceptional Chinese cuisine, and had local-based and authentic experiences.
Colorado Adventure Specialist
For years after I came back to Colorado, I spent my time trying to discover what kind of travel writing I wanted to do. I took myself around the great state of Colorado, marveling at nature, consuming delightful treats, and staying in the coziest hotels, all before realizing I wanted to be this state’s top influencer. Now, I search every corner of Colorado to find the best destinations while highlighting local businesses.
Lifelong Traveler and Author
I’m not just a traveler. I’m an author of two novels (with many others on the way) and a professional writer with a rich background in marketing. I’ve produce online content for various publications including, PROmotion Music News, Colorado Fun Guide, The Gazette, Semrush, and Fluent in 3 Months. Now, I’m a content director for Rimo3, an IT tech company based in my hometown.

I love to travel everywhere and still have some major adventures on my bucket list. Of all the places I’ve visited so far, travels in China and Colorado are unmatched. There is so much more to see, and I’ll get to all the destinations soon enough.
Colorado Travel
Kelly is a Colorado Native. Although she has lived in Southern Colorado for the majority of her life, within the last few years, she has spent her time exploring each corner of the state and sharing her travels. If she hasn’t been there yet, it’s on her bucket list.
China Travel
China is a place Kelly holds dear in her heart. She has lived there twice and each time has been enamored with the culture, food, and people. You’ll find a lot of stories and advice on traveling in China and what to expect when you are living there.
Solo Travel
Most of my grand adventures have been experienced as a solo female traveler, although on occasion I have friends who come with me or we share in a good adventure, you’ll find most of my blogs are primarily geared toward solo female travel.
